  • 1 cup colorful jelly cubes (red, green, orange – pre-set and chopped)

  • 1/4 cup small tapioca pearls (sago), cooked and cooled

  • Cherries or extra fruit bits

  • Crushed nuts or shredded coconut (for texture)

 

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tapioca Pearls (Sago):

    • Rinse 1/4 cup of sago in water.

    • Boil in water until the pearls turn translucent (about 10 minutes).

    • Drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.

  2. Prepare the Custard Base:

    • In a small bowl, mix 3 tablespoons custard powder with 1/4 cup of cold milk until smooth.

    • Heat the remaining milk (1 ¾ cups) in a saucepan. Once warm, add sugar and stir.

    • Slowly add the custard mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

    • Cook until thickened (about 5 minutes), then remove from heat and let it cool completely.

  3. Assemble the Dessert:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped fruits, jelly cubes, cooked sago, and cooled custard.

    • Mix gently until well combined.

  4. Chill and Serve:

    • Transfer into serving cups or bowls.

    • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and set.

    • Garnish with whipped cream or cherries if desired. Enjoy cold!
