Instructions:

  1. Cook the Beef:
    • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef for 5–7 minutes, breaking it into smaller pieces as it browns.
    • Season with salt, pepper, and a splash of Worcestershire sauce. Once browned, remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  2. Sauté Vegetables:
    • Return the pan to the stove and melt the butter.
    • Add the chopped bell pepper and onion, cooking for 5–7 minutes until softened and slightly browned.
    • Stir the cooked beef back into the pan with the vegetables. Remove from heat and allow the filling to cool slightly.
  3. Assemble the Egg Rolls:
    • Lay the egg roll wrappers flat on a clean surface. Place half a slice of cheese in the center of each wrapper.
    • Spoon about 3 tablespoons of the beef and vegetable mixture onto each wrapper.
    • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal the edges with a little water.
  4. Fry the Egg Rolls:
    • Heat 1 inch of oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
    • Fry the egg rolls in batches of 3–4 for 3–4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
    • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the egg rolls with your favorite dipping sauces like cheddar, ranch, BBQ, or horseradish sauce.
