Savory Mini Ham Balls with Sweet Glaze
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground ham
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground ham, ground pork, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, milk, black pepper, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, water, and Dijon mustard. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a gentle boil. Remove from heat.
- Pour the glaze over the ham balls, ensuring each one is well coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the ham balls are cooked through and the glaze is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm.
