Strawberry Bliss Bars

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar:
    • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla:
    • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine with Dry Ingredients:
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the sour cream, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  6. Fold in Strawberries:
    • Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
  7. Bake:
    • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the bars to cool in the pan on a wire rack. Once cool, use the parchment paper to lift the bars out of the pan. Cut into squares and serve.
