Bacon-Wrapped Glazed Chicken

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of bacon (2 slices per breast)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wrap the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of bacon, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
  3. Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together the honey (or maple syrup), brown sugar, barbecue sauce, and mustard.
  4. Bake: Place the wrapped chicken breasts in a baking dish lined with aluminum foil. Brush the glaze generously over the chicken breasts.
  5. Cook: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, brushing with more glaze halfway through.
  6. Broil for Extra Crispness: After cooking, you can broil the chicken for 3-5 minutes to crisp up the bacon.
  7. Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
