Bacon-Wrapped Glazed Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts
- 8 slices of bacon (2 slices per breast)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (optional for extra flavor)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wrap the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of bacon, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
- Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together the honey (or maple syrup), brown sugar, barbecue sauce, and mustard.
- Bake: Place the wrapped chicken breasts in a baking dish lined with aluminum foil. Brush the glaze generously over the chicken breasts.
- Cook: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, brushing with more glaze halfway through.
- Broil for Extra Crispness: After cooking, you can broil the chicken for 3-5 minutes to crisp up the bacon.
