Spiced Butter Corn Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 ears of corn, husked and cut into smaller pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro or parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • Extra chili flakes for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Corn:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Add the corn pieces and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until tender.
    • Drain the corn and let it cool slightly.
  2. Season the Butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Coat the Corn:
    • Place the corn pieces in a large mixing bowl.
    • Pour the spiced butter over the corn and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
    • If using, drizzle the mayonnaise over the corn and toss gently to coat.
    • Sprinkle the chopped cilantro or parsley over the corn.
    • Drizzle with lime juice and toss to combine.
    • Garnish with extra chili flakes if you like a bit more spice.
  5. Serve Warm:
    • Transfer the spiced butter corn to a serving dish and serve warm.
