EASY MADE ITALIAN MEATLOAF

Easy Made Italian Meatloaf:

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • ½ pound Italian sausage (mild or spicy, depending on your preference)
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup marinara sauce (for topping)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Meat Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
    • Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. You can use your hands for the best mixing.
  3. Shape the Meatloaf:
    • Place the meat mixture on a baking sheet or in a loaf pan. Shape it into a loaf form.
  4. Bake the Meatloaf:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  5. Add Marinara and Cheese (Optional):
    • In the last 10 minutes of baking, remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the marinara sauce over the top.
    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce (if using).
    • Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve:
    • Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
    • Serve with your favorite side dishes, like mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
