Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pie

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Chocolate Layer:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup peanut butter cups, chopped

For the Peanut Butter Layer:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping

For the Topping:

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Mini peanut butter cups
  • Peanut butter chips

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crust:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • In a medium bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
    • Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
    • Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  2. Make the Chocolate Layer:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream.
    • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
    • Pour the chocolate mixture over the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
    • Sprinkle the chopped peanut butter cups over the chocolate layer.
    • Refrigerate the pie until the chocolate layer is set, about 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer:
    • In a large bowl, beat the creamy peanut butter and softened butter with an electric mixer until smooth.
    • Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
    • Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.
    • Spread the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate layer in the pie.
  4. Add the Topping:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream.
    • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
    • Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread it evenly.
    • Garnish the top of the pie with mini peanut butter cups and peanut butter chips.
  5. Chill the Pie:
    • Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set.
