Instructions

  1. Prepare Sweet Potatoes:
    • Boil or bake the sweet potatoes until tender. Allow them to cool, then peel and mash them until smooth.
  2. Mix Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, and flour. Mix well.
    • Add half of the evaporated milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Beat until the mixture is smooth.
    • Gradually add the remaining evaporated milk while stirring.
  3. Assemble the Pie:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Pour the sweet potato filling into the unbaked pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  4. Bake:
    • Place the pie on the center rack of the oven. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly golden on top.
    • To test if it’s done, insert a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
  5. Cool and Serve:
