Pepperoni Pizza Layer Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Pizza Layers:

  • 2 pre-made pizza crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef (seasoned with salt and pepper)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pizza Crusts:
    • Preheat your oven according to the instructions for your pre-made pizza crusts (typically 400°F or as specified on the package).
    • If using homemade dough, roll out two equal-sized pizza crusts.
    • Bake the pizza crusts separately for about 10 minutes or until they are just firm but not fully cooked. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
  3. Assemble the Layer Cake:
    • Take one of the baked pizza crusts and place it on a pizza pan or oven-safe plate.
    • Spread a layer of pizza sauce (about ½ cup) evenly over the crust.
    • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
    • Add half of the cooked ground beef and half of the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  4. Layer the Second Crust:
    • Place the second pizza crust on top of the first layer, gently pressing down.
    • Spread the remaining pizza sauce (½ cup) over this crust.
    • Add the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, followed by the remaining ground beef and pepperoni slices.
  5. Bake the Pizza Layer Cake:
    • Bake the assembled pizza cake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove the pizza cake from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
    • Slice into wedges like a cake and enjoy your multi-layered pizza creation!
