Ingredients:

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add the melted butter and powdered sugar, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
  7. Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the batter, creating a marbled effect.
  8. Sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped pecans over the top if desired.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
