Savory Mini Ham Balls with Sweet Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground ham
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground ham, ground pork, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, milk, black pepper, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, water, and Dijon mustard. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a gentle boil. Remove from heat.
  5. Pour the glaze over the ham balls, ensuring each one is well coated.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the ham balls are cooked through and the glaze is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm.
