Cabbage and Minced Meat Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 small cabbage, cut into small pieces
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon powdered broth seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Wash and chop the cabbage into small pieces.
- Chop the onions and finely mince the garlic if not already done.
- Sauté the Aromatics:
- In a large skillet or pot, heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Cook the Ground Beef:
- Add the ground beef to the skillet with the onions and garlic.
- Cook until the meat is browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Season the Meat:
- Stir in the powdered broth seasoning, cumin, cayenne pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
- Add Tomatoes and Cabbage:
- Pour in the can of chopped tomatoes, including the juice.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet.
- Stir everything together until well combined.
- Simmer:
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Cover the skillet with a lid.
- Let it cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Adjust Seasoning:
- Taste the dish and add salt according to your preference.
- If you prefer more heat or additional flavor, adjust the spices as desired.
- Serve:
- Once cooked, remove from heat.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro.
