NGREDIENTS:
4 boneless, chicken breasts
Salt and ground black pepper
2 teaspoon olive oil
250 grams cremini or mushrooms, chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 cup Caesar dressing
1/2 cup sour cream
A quarter cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup grated mozzarella
For garnish: 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat your oven to 190°C. Season the chicken with some salt and pepper.
- Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat and fry the chicken fillets until golden brown on both sides, 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer the fried chickens to the baking tray.
- Add the mushrooms in the same way and cook until they soften and their liquid comes out. Add chopped garlic at the last minute of cooking. Share the mushrooms over the chicken on the baking tray.
- In a bowl, whisk together Caesar dressing, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. Take this sauce and put it over the chicken and mushrooms.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from the oven and before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.
- For a simple recipe, you can use Greek yoghurt instead of butter.
- If you like extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper to the sauce.
- To add nutrition, you can add spinach or kale to the dish and place it under the chicken.
- Feel free to make your own Caesar that you will work hard on at home.
- For learning to cook, consider cutting chicken breasts into pieces or cutting them horizontally to make them easier.
- Leftovers keep well for two days in the refrigerator and can be gently reheated in the oven or microwave.
